Designer Dolly J launched her collection titled Gulenaar which caters to the post Pandemic bride.

Dolly J opened Day 3 of the first-ever digital India Couture Week with a collection for brides seeking ease, movement and wearability through their ensembles.

Intricate handwork of silver and gold threads has taken prominence in the show. The collection has been specially designed keeping the Indian weddings in mind. Heirloom chikankari has been given a new avatar with western drapes. We have developed special fabric which is  Luxe silk organza, woven with jacquard, for our discerning brides. The palette is rich with a mix of pastels and jewel tones. Singular in their exquisiteness and elegance, each ensemble is a piece of art and time-intensive.

Keeping the current scenario in mind the collection is elaborate yet, ‘functional bridal wear’.  The designer adds, “Nothing can dim the light that shines from within; nothing is more impressive than a ‘Gulenaar’ who does not seek validation as she is confident in the extraordinary way Universe has created her.”

The detailed work added an alluring dimension to the modern drapes. Combination of soft pastels and shimmering tones dominated the collection. Intricate handwork of silver and gold threads on the gowns and lehengas made it all the more eye-catching. Dramatic sleeves and floor-grazing skirts reflect the sartorial choices of the modern bride.
