Legendary designer duo – Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla and Needledust launch the fourth edition of their illustrious collaboration. The collection is very diverse and displays a multitude of hand embroidery work, showcasing the amalgamation of Indian heritage crafts and modern aesthetics.
Introducing four intricately crafted juttis & two extraordinary new mules, finished with exquisitely handcrafted metallic embellishments and sparkling sequins, the collection echoes the fervour of upcoming festivities and adds the much-needed jubilation to the year. The eclectic collection has a unique mix of bright hues of red and fuschia, balanced with metallic shades of gold, silver and champagne. The collection will showcase two new, chic styles for mules – the square toe mules and the arrowhead mules along with four stunning juttis.
Aztec patterns and strong geometric motifs, that have now become synonymous with the designer duo’s eponymous brand, dominate the juttis and mules. The motifs are fluid and are entwined with weaves and mix-embroidery. The meticulously crafted footwear features shimmering crystals. beads and sequins giving a futuristic and contemporary aesthetic.

The gota patti work ties Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla’s designs with Shirin’s quest to revive traditional art and techniques. Signature to both Needledust and Abu and Sandeep’s work are the tassels and hand-cut sequins and mirrors that create the unique semblance of 3-D lustre, transforming the overall look of the mules and juttis.
Founder and Creative Director of Needledust, Shirin Mann Sangha add, “Considering how hard the year has been for everyone, our sole quest in launching the collection in the midst of the pandemic, was to bring hope and cheer back in people’s lives in our own little way.
