The French Luxury house introduces Nuit de Feu, the latest fragrance to join the Oriental Perfumes Collection – a majestic new fragrance evoking the glow of a campfire in the silence of a desert night. The fragrance also contains a special quality of India’s Assam oud.
Following Ombre Nomade and Les Sables Roses, Les Parfums Louis Vuitton Collection continues to pay homage to the olfactory culture of the Middle East with Nuit de Feu, an enchanting composition around eternal notes of incense with an infusion of leather and oud wood. Fascinated by the olfactory heritage of the Middle East, Louis Vuitton’s Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud sought to use the most emblematic and luxurious raw materials in his latest composition. By using ingredients that men have worn since the dawn of time, he weaves emotion throughout, telling a timeless tale that raises the spirit and speaks to the soul.
“It’s a perfume that does one a world of good. It’s a blend of essential ingredients that have traversed the ages and forged our civilizations. In a world that’s becoming more and more virtual, I wanted to create a perfume that anchors and reconnects us with nature and our collective history.” said Jacques Cavallier Belletrud.
Nuit de Feu is a blend of essential ingredients that have traversed the ages and forged civilizations. From the moment, it touches the skin, white incense from Somaliland, transformed by Louis Vuitton in Grasse, bursts forth with dazzling freshness as the spark that lights the flame. At its heart, black incense that has been smoked prior to extraction defines the perfume’s personality: warm, dense, and sensual.
It links incense with a dominant, musky accord that elevates all the other ingredients as if it were being propelled a little higher toward the heavens. This musk accord envelops it in a luminous, comfortable halo, to which ambrette seed, a real “vegetal musk”, lends earthy accents. In its wake, an exceptional quality of Assam oud – an ingredient found in every perfume in this collection – gives Nuit de Feu an enchanting, woody depth.
The Nuit de Feu bottle is refillable and Louis Vuitton encourages clients to replenish empty bottles at in-store perfume fountains in just a matter of seconds supporting eco-luxury methods. The perfume has been launched on July 2 worldwide.
